Tools and Resources
While community activists may be blessed with having easier access to local decision makers then do activists working on the state or national level, often the bolstering resources (area research, information on local elected officials, training programs, availability of grant money, etc.) are not as readily available on a local level. Rather, local civic and county citizen groups often feel as though they don't know the process, they don't know who to contact or what to look for in a proposal they KNOW is bad. . . even if they don't know how to prove it.
To remedy this situation, the Colorado Sprawl Action Center is constantly compiling all local information it can to be of best service to YOUR needs, and to make you local government participation as painless and effective as possible.
