Department of Local Affairs
The state department that provides resources, funding, and model regulations for local municipalities and counties.

Colorado Municipal League
The association of municipal governments statewide that works both to connect its members to each other and to represent issues of its members' interests at the state house. They have been supportive of good land use planning regulation reforms in the past.

Colorado American Planning Association
The Colorado chapter of the APA has been a great ally in fighting sprawl, and continues to offer assistance and guidance to both citizen groups and governments interested in better planning.

Colorado Environmental Coalition
A large environmental organization that protects Colorado's wild places and in so doing works in Coalition with other non-profits to fight sprawl.

Sierra Club
Both on the state level and through local chapters, the Sierra Club has been an outspoken advocate of open space protection through better planning.

Western Colorado Congress (WCC)
Active primarily in local communities on the West Slope, WCC has been working on land use issues for some time and in areas not traditionally seen as hotbeds of progressive land use reform.

Colorado Affordable Housing Partnership
CAHP works to expand affordable housing in Colorado, and to educate and fight for better affordable housing policies in local governments around the state.

Denver Metro Transit Alliance
A Denver area organization that works to expand alternative transportation funding and implementation in the six-county region.

Livable Communities Support Center
Provides information, analysis, technical assistance and strategic advice to citizen groups, nonprofit organizations and local governments working on growth and livability issues at the local and regional levels.

Larimer County Rural Land Use Center
Assists Landowners who wish to develop their property while maintianing some land in agriculture and open space.

Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute
Fosters the efficient and restorative use of resources to create a more secure, prosperous, and life-sustaining world.

Front Range Alliance
Works to educate decision-makers, businesses and residents about issues and projects that will affect the Front Range Mountain Backdrop.
