Denver Metro Area by Airplane - Fall '00
In coloraboration with Light Hawk and the Colorado Sprawl Action Center, renowned nature photographer and smart growth proponent John Fielder agreed in the fall of '00 to tour the Denver metro area by air and photograph its massive, sprawling growth patterns from a bird's eye view. The following photos all come from that flight.
While all photos are provided
to you free of charge, we do ask that, when possible, credit is given both
to John and the Center for providing them. If you would like higher quality
images for use in publications or printed materials, please contact the Center
directly, either by calling (303) 573-3871 or by e-mailing sprawlaction@EnvironmentColorado.org.
South / South-Eastern Metro Area
Due the fast-travelling nature of airplanes, not all photos in this gallery are labelled as clearly as they might be (we're not entirely sure what some of these images are photos of). If you see a photo of a place you recognize, and you don't feel its labelled adequately or accurately, please contact us so we can update our files.
